DNA Clusters uses the Leeds Method (opens in a new tab) to determine how your close cousins are related to you. It works by grouping your matches into clusters based on their shared matches. Typically this used to identify from which if your great-grandparent couples each match is descended.

DNA Clusters requires my Ancestry username and password. Is this secure?

DNA Clusters needs your username and password to access your AncestryDNA data. The username and password are sent only to Ancestry and are not stored.
